Whether through one-on-one equine-assisted coaching, yoga with horses, Reiki sessions, or our Healing Circles featuring drumming, breathwork, meditation, and gentle movement, each experience is designed to foster presence, resilience, and inner peace. The quiet, grounding nature of our horses creates a unique environment where participants can slow down, build confidence, reduce stress, and experience the powerful connection that develops when healing happens in the presence of these remarkable animals.

Patch's Place is proud to partner exclusively with 1 Horse @ A Time (1H@AT) Draft Rescue, an organization that shares our unwavering commitment to the welfare of draft horses. Founded by Jasmin Shinn, 1H@AT is dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected, and abused draft horses from the threat of slaughter. Operating from Montana, even through harsh winters with temperatures reaching -40°F, Jasmin provides around-the-clock care with extraordinary dedication, unconditional compassion, and an unwavering belief in every horse's ability to survive and heal.
Unfortunately, not every organization that presents itself as a horse rescue operates with the same level of integrity and accountability. For that reason, Patch's Place has chosen to partner exclusively with 1H@AT. Their commitment to ethical rescue practices, complete transparency, careful placement of every horse, and continued follow-up after adoption reflects the values we believe every rescue organization should uphold.
Together, our partnership creates a greater impact than either organization could achieve alone. While 1H@AT continues to rescue draft horses facing neglect, abuse, abandonment, and slaughter, Patch's Place provides permanent sanctuary for many of the medically fragile and special-needs horses that require lifelong care. By welcoming these horses into our sanctuary, we help free valuable quarantine and foster space, allowing 1H@AT to continue saving more draft horses in desperate need. It is a partnership built on trust, compassion, and a shared mission to ensure every draft horse has the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and dignified life.
